Mineral Depot 1 & 2

Has anyone downloaded these two items? Did you get them to work? The instructions are very vague. I have been trying to get them working with no success. Post here if you have the answers. Tnx

What mineral depots are you talking about, and where can one find them? It might be easier to diagnose the problem when people know where to find the object in question.
 
Ok, you have to use the custom config thats included in the main file, then you will have the extra attachment points for the doors/track connections.
Use invisible track to connect them with the warehouse/depot. And then wala ! doors open as you drive up, then load whatever and drive off and the doors close. Really cool ! Thanks " jsblm "you did a great job. i can't wait to get the other industries working too.

Bill, could you explain in a little more detail, at what points you connected your invisible track. I can't seem to make mine work. Thanks
 
Place the industry and the doors. Use the little square to line up placement. Make sure you are using the custom config to get the extra APs. The door tracks are inside the industry track. Use invisible track to connect the inside industry track to the first outside door track. Then do the same to the other side. I know its kinda confusing. I'll try and get a decent screen shot in surveyor and send it to you. Basically you are just connecting the insides of the industries to the outsides of the door assets on each end.

Edit : I just discovered you can use whatever track you want, you don't need to use invisible. Thats what I used yesterday. I just connected the doors on all the other using default track. Some of the points won't connect directly, so
I pulled track from both directions and joined two pieces in between.

Hi Bill, I appreciate you taking time to explain how to wire up the mineral depot, but I'm still a little confused by what you mean by "use the custom file". I can see the custom config in the main file. Are you saying we need to rename this file to make the mineral depot work? Thanks again.
 
Yep, took me all day to figure that out. I though it was just for different products. But that custom config adds the extra APs on the tracks. I renamed
the orig. to 1config & deleted the "custom " from custom config. Then just attach your tracks to the A-points. The creator is from Poland and probably not very good at writing in English. He's never posted. And my e-mail to him bounced. But the config is very well written, so he definitely knows what he is doing. Did you see the oil barrel pallets travel all the way from the refinery to the warehouse on the overhead conveyor ? He's a very good model and animation maker.

Hi Bill, thanks again for the info. I renamed the custom config file, (had to delete the dispatcher chump file) got the extra attachment points, wired up the doors and everything worked fine. Thanks again for your help.:D

Having a problem. I have only two products showing. Broken Stones and Clay. Anyone know how to get the rest of the products to show? Help will be appreciated. Tnx.
 
Try going to thr DLS and typing in the builder's Kuid no. 112938. He has a lot of content there for downloading (sand, gravel, sulpher, etc).
 
Has anyone downloader the Petrochemistry industry (by the same builder) and got it to work? I've downloaded the industry but can't make it show up in surveyor menu. There must be something missing in the file somewhere.:confused:
