In 2009 MILWAUKEE Road Historical Association celebrates its Centennial on their lines west extension to the Pacific. That event of a great Fallen Flag RR was reason enough for me to name it for my reworked layout.
The IMPESSIONZ story continues! This is the TRS04 version of “Canada Impressions Line” heavily renewed in appearance and many extra tracks and terrain added. It has full TS2010 status now. It fits perfectly on the impression of MIL-WEST landscapes and sections at non-electrified sub divisions once operated in the “Frontier area”.
It is mostly single tracked like the origin and meets Northern Pacific RR in some branch routes. In the year 1972 Milwaukee Road is in full operation between Chicago and Seattle. This class 1 railroad covers most of the US landscapes and all train type operations usual in these days.
All lines in this route has camera guidance, speed signs, signaling, more densed urban areas, grassy ground, more portals, industry is added and is generating economic cycles.
The track plan is optimised and signaling is revised by Yves Guilliams from Belgium.
Coming soon in the early days of 2012. All content is at DLS. A session will be there from Yves to introduced the route.
It is as close to the real as possible and a fine playground for trainzing !

The screens look great, and I appreciate the fact that you are using DLS items only, I thinks that's a great way to go forward.

that strategy to have it all at the DLS is a must for bigger layouts like this - otherwise the dl becomes a nightmare.....I had some "bumpy" releases in the past and will not do it again !

TS2012 Version planned !!!

Hi guys,
Good news - as agreed last night with Ives Guilliams he is going to build/transfer the TS2010 version I'm just finishing into a TS2012 version also.
That means there will be 2 MIL WEST routes at the DLS in January :

MIL WEST Impressionz - TS2010 (neandertal)

MIL WEST Impressionz - TS2012 (GuilliamsYves)

We keep you up-to-date on this.

Please take a little patience - the set isn't complete yet

The 2 Sessions are released on DLS but the base route has to take another approval routine because there was detected an obsolete command line in the config file.....will be there tomorrow !

G'day Neandertal Man, I have downloaded the route and both sessions and am missing one Kuid from the session "MILWest Impressionz TS10-Session1" the missing asset is "<kuid:146523:13000> by Cozmo®", any clues as to where to get this as google failed to come up with anything.
Great looking route, looks like a ton of fun.

Thank you very much for your effort. This route was one of my favourite and i always download all the new editions, which Guilliams made. But with this last edition I'm a little disapponted, because you didn't use complete route from Peers to Louisea, the best part from Port Jarvis to Louiseau is missing. And i think, that to much old assets is shown, on the route and especial in the session, for TS10 standard. I hope that route will grow up with the time.

best regards

@ celje - I'm not really sure we talking the same thing? At the moment I see the route as "available soon" and in process at the DLS and the location names are not known by me. Don't know what you dloaded. In case you find too much old content on the upcoming route you can easy replace it with everything you like via the "Replace asset" function in Surveyor. It's a playground and modify it as you wish - it's fun man !!

Hello Neandertal

Yesterday I download from CM 3.3., Route Milwest Impressionz TS2010, kuid 78078:100035 and the session1, kuid 78078:100038, author of both is you neandertal. Is this the correct one?

Edit: Before was Station Peers now is Rockport Refinery

Nothing especially, just CM3.3 and Category-routes, instalation time 13.1.2012. Yes something is strange, because route is not shown on Download station, last upload there has date 11.1.2011. It was in the past that routes were shown on DLS but not in CM in the same time.

BTW, i didn't wish to be rude when i say that's to much old 'stuff' is there, but this is the one of the best route and it would be good if more new assets would be incorporate. Will you continue with the second part from Port Jervis to Louiseau too?

regards

Celje - it's more weird as you expect - I tried the same filter but did not see. Whatever I try...not there. When I open Auran planet it says "not listed - available soon" but has 250 downloads yet !!!!
The old stuff - that is because I've reworked an TRS04/06 route. The assets are still working good, some looking still good and I leave them there. If you mention the sessions you mean the MILW rolling stuff. OK, I wished also that there will be better and newer stuff. But that means that more talented creators than me are building locos and cars on up-to-date models!

There was the idea to "modernise" the route to the present time (it is dated on the 1970s). So all the guys with the current modern BNSF and UP locomotive models can run across the old MILW lines.
Further there's the plan to leave it in Yves Guilliams hands.
Yves is just uploading the 2012 version to the DLS and we will keep you all informed !!!

I apologize, session1 has assets (locos and wagons) from 2.0 build and route has old trees (bad looking in the native mode). I was talking about this.
This route is still my favorite.
best regards

Offer to Celje

@ Celje - THX for the flowers and the critics...
One question...what do you mean with "native mode" - are you running the map in 2012 version ? Then you have faulty content of course..
When the trees looking bad and any other old asset, are you interested in a revision you can make?
This route is anyhow a co-production with Yves. Feel free to join us!

... .did the same yesterday eve....unfortunately I saw in the session when run it to the very end that the freight (GP9 and SD40) stuck in a deadend at Chesire. If anybody use the session pls delete that misleading order out of the command line !
As I said : modify the session for your best pleasure. There's a lot of challenge to support all the industy......

Hello Neandertal

I'm sorry, once again if you are offended. I apologized twice.
Maybe you don't know, TS10 is possible to run in compatibility or native mode, TS12 run only in native mode.
Thank you very much for invitation, my all free time is dedicate to DB route, on which i'm working now a couple of years. If you are interesting, look this thread
DB together TS12

But if i had more time i would accept invetation with pleasure. Maybe i will have more time in the second part of this year, If you give me the permission I will make the revision of complete route from Rafinery to Louiseau. Of course it's the matter of free time, if i will have.
BTW today i download Guilliams's TS12 edition and old not good looking trees are still there.

best regards
celje
