Hi all! This is a sidebar project that runs along with the Sea of Blue. I am reskinning JR locomotives into my fictional railroad's (Midwest Railroad) livery. ***NOTE*** These are PRIVATE reskins only. They will not be "up for grabs" as per JR EULA.
First off, a background on the MWRR:
The MWRR came to be first a Class II (Regional) railroad comprised of remaining elements of the AWVR and the Midwestern railroads, along with bought ex-SP Dash 9's from UP and ex-CR SD60's from NS. In a merger with the Grand Elk and the Detroit Connectin (which are both real lines, GDLK running between Grand Rapids and Elkhart, based in Kalamazoo, and is in this timeline a Class II as well, instead of a Class III, and the DCON, based in Detroit) and newly found trackage rights over CSX, NS, and the IHB, the Midwest Railroad gained over 200+ miles of system, adding onto their already 10,000 mile system. They became an official Class I railroad on January 10th, 2004.
They have major hubs in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa. They are listed by city and state:
Michigan:
Kalamazoo
Detroit
Grand Rapids
Dearborn
Illinois:
Chicago
Springfield
Downers Grove
North Chicago
Indiana:
Burns Harbor
Elkhart
Fort Wayne
Wisconsin:
Milwaukee
Fond Du Lac
Minnesota:
St. Paul
Minneapolis
Iowa:
Davenport
Sioux City
Now, for some pictures. These are from the beginning of the Dash 9 Project.
The first side, bought from UP
Then the other side is transformed, however it is far from being done.
That's it for now!
