Hi Nix
I've been out of the loop for the past fortnight, my new computer blew its motherboard and I had to send it away for repair.

I've just downloaded your latest 4 sessions and I'm having the old trouble with a fatal error when going into Driver with " Dogs Of War"

I suspect its a missing product like last time but I can't figure out which.
the only thing that looks a bit odd in Surveyor is, at the west end of Anderson there's a loco with 5 clinchfield flatcars, the last 2 have tanks, the next 2 have carriers but the one behind the tender is empty.
Is this my missing product or am I off the mark.

If you have heard from anyone else about this or have any ideas I would be grateful to hear from you.

as always
cheers
Roy

Okay here are the products used in Dogs of War:

Packing Crates Load #1 kuid:187586:120 by flints (on DLS - get the pack)

Mobil Oil Drums kuid2:81150:133:2 by Winaa on the DLS

Girderbox 12 ft kuid2:97212:367:1 by Ronin13 on the DLS

Farm equipment kuid2:50567:12646:3 by idiotbuoy on the DLS

Skid steer loader kuid2:50567:12645:2 by idiotbuoy on the DLS

US Army heavy trucks kuid:95761:60101 by cnr on the DLS

Sherman tank kuid:42796:25005 by UP4006 on the DLS

Canadian Army Light Vehicles kuid:95761:60100 by cnr on the DLS

Sorry for the mess but I guess it's a problem with DLH rather than me personally. In creating sessions we are completely limited to rolling stock and products. If we change anything else it becomes a "map" item which means the original map will no longer work. Because of this I tend to use rolling stock and products as decorative scenery items to add interest to the sessions. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't!

Anyway I hope this solves the problem you've been having.

Cheers

Hi Guys --

Nix -- where does the Packing Crate load come in? It's certainly not one that is a dependency of the LARS/ProtoLARS tracks that are used in the route.

Roy -- another possibility is that one of the items of rolling stock is calling for a product that is not present, though this should cause the dreaded Black Screen of Death rather than a crash and burn.
__________

At least it's not one of mine. I've sweated over these irritating little issues in my sessions in the past but (sorry guys!!) this time I can just sit back and watch.

Good luck to you both, I'm sure you can resolve it
Phil

It's scenery Phil. I've loaded it onto a QR CCH and some flat cars but they don't actually unload anywhere. They just look cool. One of them disappears into a portal and the other one is on a static train display which you see as you drive past.

In a series of Harry sessions about to go to the DLS I have a brace of VR V louvre vans loaded with general goods. A lot of the time they don't actually end the session on an industry track but when the subsequent session starts they've been unloaded! It's a useful little trick I find, especially where you have nifty looking goods sheds but no industry capability (or at least the right type of industry capability)! :hehe:

Dogs of War or The Return of the King are prolly the last sessions to use the Clinchfield flatcars. The SAR flatcar (with and without stakes) seems to accomplish most of my flatcar requirements and are (hooray! hooray!) Awstralian! :p

At long last my endless pleading and nagging for interactive Aussie stock is getting results! :hehe:

Hi Nix :D :D
Thanks for the list, it was the packing crates.
works a treat now :Y:
I would never have guessed that one, I got it right about the empty flatcar tho.
This dam' Down Load Helpless drives me mad sometimes:n:

@Phil, I had this with other sessions by Nix and it was a missing product then as well, I managed to figure that one because he said in the readme to pickup 4 flats with cement containers and the conts didn't exist.

Now my comps back I can get stuck in to these sessions, from both of you, That is, when I've beaten the garden into submission;)

Thanks again
cheers

Hah! The TRS black hole claims another victim... :hehe:

You might need to clone yourself Roy; there's a whole brace of Harry sessions to come and I just bet you $14 that Phil has got some stashed away on his HD too! :p

Cheers
