I have seen something like this before. Once you have your first layout open you then select the Merge (as you have done) but you do not see the second file.

When this has happened to me I zoom out with my mouse as far as I could (plus moved around) and I have seen the other layout some distance from the first one.

You then move it closer and everything works fine.

I hope this helps and is the answer your looking for.

unfortunually..i dont under stand.sorry.is there any other way of help

When a route is created it is given co-ordinates which might be a real location. the co-ordinates of a default created route is 0,0. When you use the merge function you get a mini map, click the minus to zoom out to see the widest area of the map. Now use the arrows on the four sides of the map to scroll around an extended area. Somewhere out in this unseen area is the other route. Once you find it you will need to move it nearer to yours by using the four arrows in the bottom centre. Click the left arrow and you will see the map to be merged move left. You will have to keep doing this until it gets next to your route.

Hello.................

Keep in mind that the problems of SPLINES that have been identified with the UNDO function, just might occur when MERGING routes. You dont necessarily see it right away, but "low and behold", tracks attached to INTERACTIVE industries, seem to somehow go crazy. What will sometimes happen is that you will issue a DRIVE TO command to an industry, and the AI will say "NO PATH", and you know darn well there is no problem, as you have been running this route since a gazillion years ago!!! For example, any route I merge that has the COALMINE on it, the tracks attached to the Coalmine, somehow, unexplainably, find themselves dis-attached.

So, just to throw a "monkey in the wrench", when merging routes, you just might find that splines on one of the routes, got unpredictably dis-attached. I have absolutely no idea of why this occurs.:'(

After your merger(s), just look around and ensure that tracks attached to ANY AND ALL interactive industries are still there!!! This is occurring at TRS2004@2365. It might not be a problem on TRS2006 or other releases of Trainz. Good luck on the merging of your routes.

Here you go.....................

1- Have the route you want to merge on your screen.....

2- Go to the upper left of your screen, and click on SURVEYOR MENU........

3-click on MERGE ROUTE...........

4-The routes on YOUR system will now appear...........

5-Scan down the list to find the route with which you want to merge, and click on it..........

6-click on the GREEN CHECK MARK

7-You should now see both your first route AND the route with which you want to merge. As SEESEEME and STAGECOACH have both stated, you may have to zoom your mouse OUT in order to see BOTH ROUTES......Use the arrow in the SHADED PORTION of the map to see them both.....

8- Once you see both routes......................., use the 4 arrows at the bottom of the screen to ALIGN your 2 routes.

9-Once aligned with each other, hit the GREEN CHECK MARK..............

10-WOW,.............you now have your new merged route........CASE CLOSED...............

IF THIS IS UNCLEAR, create 2 routes, one called MERGER1, and the other called MERGER2. Just throw a track or a building on each, and SAVE them!!!! Now merge one with the other. This way, you wont find yourself destroying two perfectly good routes. Good luck.........
