Meeting The 2009 Challenge

Greetings to all victims of progress in Trainzland!

To prepare myself for what is to come, I downloaded a copy of Blender, a copy of Python and a copy of the Trainz export file.

I bought a copy of Blender Essential then my spouse created a manual for me out of the Blender material available on the Wikibook site.

The stage, set, I got down to the business of learning this new thing called Blender. After an intensive effort I finally created an object that looked like a building with a roof.

So, I might now be on my way to becoming a Blender based content creator.

For those of you who are undecided about the value of Blender, it is not an intuitive application but there is a lot of stuff out there one can add to make the program more robust.

There it is, gang!

This thread is somewhat similar to eating mild vanilla ice cream, without any extras. You'd eat it, but you wouldn't lick the bowl out aftwards.

Can almost feel the polymeter maxing out. At least if you place it in Trainz you'll have lots of time to admire the tower cause your frame rate will probably to a dive to low single digit territory as you drive by it. :wave: But it sure is a beautiful example of what is possible with a bit of effort. :udrool:
