Mediafire Issues

Anyone else have the issue when trying to download stuff from mediafire, and I get a strange virus pop up alert thing on the window. I know its not my virus protection cause it says something about Microsoft and tries to not let me leave the page. anyone else have this issue, or know what to do?

Mediafire has been known for this, and it's quite often popup advertising, or in some cases, a virus.

If you use Google Chrome, Get Adblock. It kills pop ups, and also massacres adverts. It probably beats them to death with a stop sign.

Adblock Plus blocks everything on Firefox, get zero ads in most places.

Yeah, it's happened to me off and on for a couple of months. Symatec recognizes it as a virus now. Don't know about other AV programs.
