Hundereds of onlookers gathered to watch the vehicle speed along the track at 1 mph ... than a crash, bang, and it came to a screeching halt, as something broke inside the drive train. People just shook their heads and walked away, saying: "These newfangled railroad contraptions will never amount to a hill of beans" !
