Malware issue

Maybe it is for other reason, but since I downloaded the Kikstarter thing, I get malware in my computer. The first was Akamaihd. I was able to remove it and today I got the jsn.donecore.net (harder to get rid off). I don't normally download things from other sites, so I suspect Kikstarter? Any one have the same problem?

I don't think Akamaihd is actually malware - it's a site that powers part of Facebook and other services (unless you can show me otherwise - possibly a scan result showing otherwise).

I do not recall having to "Download" anything from Kickstarter when I signed up myself, and my wife...two accounts...

--When I accessed from Google Chrome, I did keep getting an annoying popup /slide-up screen, but I just clicked the smaller of the two close "x"s in the upper most right corner...no issues from that either.
----Internet Explorer and Android both blocked those pop-ups.

All I can say is if it isn't that, it could be something related, as kickstarter is known for account information and $$$, so that might invite troublemakers to start getting in there.

I had the same thing happen a day or two after I made my pledge. I started getting e-mails with really weird subjects from folks I don't know even remotely recognize. Needless to say I labeled them spam and they don't show up other then in my spam folder but I'm still getting them. Prior to making my pledge I got 1 a month at the most. Now I get 2 or 3 a day and sometimes as many as 7 or 8. Hopefully they will give up when they realize I'm not interested but meanwhile its getting be as pain in the drain.

I've only had one e-mail from Kickstarter, apart from the acknowledgement of the pledge, and that was one about other projects I may be interested in. I have had the almost daily updates from N3V but I'm not sure if that is sent by Kickstarter or not.

Yes - I got the Kickstarter acknowledgement e-mail (printed it out for future reference if needed) and have gotten a few more e-mails from them as well but since I don't care about updates, ads, etc. I just delete them unread. Its all the other junk that is filling my spam folder (temporarily, lol).
