Some few weeks back, I bought Trains 2006, unfortuately this new IT is a bit beyoud me. As a 13 years old,a train driver once let stand in the cab of Mallard at Kings Cross Station London. I have been hooked ever since. Some 57 years later, I have done the same at York museame, you should see the tears. Now I would like to ride on Mallard in Trainz from Kings Cross to York, but I desperately need help.Waiting in hope. Trainsareme Tony

hi Tony

Welcome to the very addictive and rewarding World of Trainz.

I would suggest removing your address from you location, just need Stevenage UK

Do you have the Mallard, you should have it built into Trainz, or on the DLS (Download Station)

Hello Paul . I have been on your site before, yes I have The train someone told me there was a run already done,ECML South, Central, North routes.Tony

hi Tony

I see you have an echo !!! Just hit the button once, it sometimes takes some time to post.

I would suggest start by making a single board, put an oval of track on it and place the Mallard and tender on, and have a play round to see what gives.

DLS is temporarily down at the mo, so cant check for suitable route.

Hi Tony,
If you go to the DLS search function, type in ECML it will give you the various versions to download.Ensure you tick the boxes for UTC and Trainz,as well as 04 & 06.
My personal suggestion,to be in keeping with the 'Mallard' era,and give you a decently long run,is to download ECML south & ECML central(there isn't a north)and merge them.
If you need any further help, just shout.
Regards Bruce

thanks Brucie

ECML is preumably East Coast Main Line, of LNER fame. runs past Bruce's front door (well back really) and on up to Glasgae or Edinburgh maybe.

There are many British routes in the DLS, but as I said, isnt up yet, but keep trying.

Evening Paul,
You were right the first time, front door. It's about 200 yards away, with a couple of roads in between, that nicely dampen down any noise. The multi arched Royal Border Bridge is approx quarter of a mile to the left.

Never ceases to amaze me, here we are seperated by some 2500 miles, and the guess was only 200 yds out !!

One time I drove from Londre to Glasgow, didnt know the address I was going to, just used intuition. Asked at a garage, and was told I was 50 yards out !!!

You r up late (or early !!)
