Making My Train Move

I have just purchased the newer Trainz Simulator 12 and I accept that the program is complicated. I have just installed it and that went reasonably well.

I am not able to get me locomotives to move. I have tried every button to try and get them to move on the keyboard. None of the buttons (W-S-X OR <-> or any other combination) work to move the train in Driver using the Qick Driver or the tutorials.

I really want to play this game and look forward to building my own railroad and playing with Multi-player. I hope there is some enterprising some player out there who will be able to mentor me and may like to become a contact with a new player who would like to learn the game, learn how to download contact, build his railroad, and move into the game. I accept that there will be occasional hic-cups and a crash or two but the beauty of this game holds such promise.

In Cab mode you press: F for Foward, Q for release, W for throttle up ... X for down throttle, S for Stop, R for Reverse, A for brake application

In DCC ther is a simple dial or W, S, X

And probably should have gone into the tutorial instead of jumping in and trying the program. As you move into the program, it activates the controls. Boy, do I feel stupid! But I am a Trains rookie. Thanks again for the assist.
