It's quite simple, really, if you do it in CCP (provided you can get CCP to run long enough to do anything with it! :hehe: ).
Go to the loco in CMP and hit "view dependencies".
On the pop-up list, hit "view in main list".
Find the engine spec (or espec, as it might be called).
Right-click on it and hit "open for edit in CCP".
Go to the config file from the tree on the left.
One of the blanks should be for "max speed". Set that to whatever you want (it's meters/second, in case you were wondering).
If you want, you can lower the air drag coeff., raise max accelleration, and lower moving friction coeff. (as long as it's not zero).
Once you've made the desired changes, save, commit, and enjoy! :wave:
