HELP! I need a good source for Maine 2ft gauge dloads including locos, rolling stock, scenery, track/tunnels.

Welcome to the forums, Wayfarer and to Trainz.

There is a great source of Maine 2-footers right up on our DLS (Download Station). One of our users here, Narrow Gauge, has created a nice selection of updated Maine 2-foot equipment that is ready for downloading. In order to access these assets, you need to register your Trainz version. Without registration, you not only lose out on the nearly 300,000 items available for download, but also full forum support. If you have already registered your version under a previous name, or are having difficulties registering, please contact the helpdesk via the button located at the top of the forums.

Regards,

John

Thank you, John.

I have already downloaded the entire SR & RL and Darjeeling fleet of rolling stock but to my disappointment, the locos, (SR & RL) are all inoperative due to missing dependencies. I don't know where to find them of how to install them. Also. I'm having trouble finding tunnel and bridges with 2ft gauge track.

FYI. I'm somewhat of a newcomer Trainz, (this is my second round at it....lol), so please bear with me as I attempt to learn new tricks.

A newcomer with a second round? You should consolidate your accounts to indicate you have registered, or register your software otherwise other members here will harass you beyond recognition!

Contact Narrowgauge regarding the missing components, or check his website as he may have the parts there.

I made a 2 foot gauge trestle kit consisting of 45 different items. Various bridges and trestles in different heights. The components can be put together in 1000's of different combinations.

Lemme try to explain this briefly. My first registration here was with my old TS2006. Because that had already been registered it would not let me use that license key again. Furthermore. I could not retrieve my old ID and pword w/o logging in and couldn't change them unless I did. The email associated with the orig acct was also blocked by microsoft so any requests I made to recover my ID and pword went to an addy I can no longer access. Was easier to create a new acct.

Now, back to missing dependencies. I'm really confused now. In the Dowload Station tab it says "missing dependencies" but when I open for edit in CC it says "no missing dependencies". HUH? What's up with that?

Are you still having problems? If you can be specific and tell me what is missing from which asset, I will see what I can do to help. There is one file that I know you won't have but I will need your email address so I can send it to you. Email me via the forum.

I see that you are not yet registered, your timeline is empty. We are usually very reluctant to assist unregistered people so I recommend you do something about it.

Sounds like I got the caboose at the front of the train. Back to the beginning then. Let's get me registered. I thought I was registered when I created my acct and activated my software. What did I miss. Where do I do it?

There are two requirements for registration, one, to register on the forum, and two, to register the copy of the game. You have done the first, and to do the second, go to 'Planet Auran' at the top main forum page, then go to the Trainz sub-menu on the left, click on 'serial number' and finally enter the serial number of your copy. There may be a delay before your timeline changes.

I don't what is going on here but I have just checked my Planet Auran registration. It appears to be complete including my product key.

Panic not, you appear to have two accounts, your time line has TS12 next to your LoGrant54 name.

Often times a 2 foot tunnel (or any other specified tunnel) will have ugly prototypical big block, fat head portals, or will "snap to grid".

I have found that laying a regular track, through 2 hand laid digholes and placing an independent tunnel splines @ 0.20m lower, makes for better tunnels than "ready made" tunnels.

Can you google a photo of the particular tunnel, and give us an example ? This would make searching for the tunnel much easier ... as there are thousands of tunnels.

There are two 3foot tunnels on the DLS but they are pretty ugly big block head snap to grid type
