I see some have downloaded my track and scenario, but there is an update on the way to the DLS.
Using Andi06's Content largely I have reproduced an almost geographically accurate layout, in that the stations are in position similar to that on google earth and relative to the track angle. There the similarity ends.
At present the track runs from Upminster Depot to Baronscourt east-west and from Edgware Road to West Brompton north-south. The scenery is not accurate however. The District, Circle, Hammersmith & City, and Metropolitan lines were made by cut-and-cover method, so from time to time appear above ground in the central area, and entirely above ground in the outskirts.
The line includes the whole of the "old" Circle line, but not the new tea-cup. I might finish it in due course. The line from Paddington to Hammersmith is above ground on viaducts. The Hammersmith Station is not the same station as the Hammersmith on the District line as they are separated by about a half a kilometre or so.
If someone has the time, the local knowledge, and the willingness to do so, then by all means sketch in the scenery. I just built it for the operational representation.
The signalling and pointwork at Earls Court, West Kensington, High Street Kensington, Barking, East Ham, and a few other places, is correctly named from diagrams available in the public domain at District Dave's site on the internet.
Andio6's AJS Signals don't always work as anticipated, perhaps he may comment. To cater for the scenarios I have hopefully uploaded, I have also uploaded some additions to be included to the LT D Stock Liveries, so that they can be encoded as Circle line trains, although in real life that were typically C stock, as are the District Trains running from Edgware Rd to Putney Bridge. But as there is no C stock on the DLS, we'll make do!
One final comment is that in surveyor, the refresh on the eastern end of the layout takes a long time despite being sparsely populated, whereas the area around Earls Court refreshes reasonable rapidly despite being more dense. I have commented this in another thread.
