Can anyone please help me, i have downloaded the LU 1996 tube stock but it will not go faster than 20mph. Ihave looked in the config file on it but there is no where to set the top speed. I need it to go faster for a layout i am making at the moment.

Can anyone please HELP.

May I suggest putting some signals on your route, I believe that without signals, trainz will only go at half-speed (feel free anyone to correct me on this if I'm wrong.)

I think that in real life a tube train's max. speed is only 30 mph, isn't that right?

Mick , I believe you are correct, the default is 40mph, if it is running under incorrect signaling, it will run at 1/2 speed, (caution), 20mph !
trebor27, I do not doubt that you have signals, I doubt if they are placed correctly ?

Can you drive it manually in DCC mode faster than 20mph? If so, it's a signalling and speed limit problem as described above. Try making a very simple test track if you're not sure about the signalling on your route. Also try adding some speed signs, and see if they make a difference. Also try some different rolling stock in that same place.

If this doesn't work, it may be an engine spec issue.

And I'm sure tube trains go a good deal faster than 30mph out in the suburbs, or they'd take all day to get to Cockfosters... :o

I cannot drive it faster in DCC mode faster than 20mph, all different rolling stock can go at the speed i have set it is just to lu stock and i agree with you that they go faster than 30mph as the met line from Finchley Road to Harrow on the hill would take for ever.
