Lost Keywords

Keywords are stored in assets.tdx. So if you were using the Edit Keywords function to add the keywords and you had an assets.tdx file go walkabout then it is quite likely that you would have lost them. You can of course use the File Backup Keywords function but it is a pain keeping it up to date if you have a lot of keyword activity. Lord only knows why they put this function in a separate menu from the Edit Keywords!
The safest way to ensure you dont lose keywords is to add them in the config file using the tag 'category-keyword "your keyword" '. While you can only do one at a time, unlike 'edit keyword add', you won't lose them and they will regenerate when TAD updates.
An added safeguard is to instal TAD Monitor from www.trainzhaven.com utilities. With this utility every update you make is saved in assets.tdx as they occur, and you can have multiple levels of backups.
