Trainz
Most routes I find interesting have their N3V stock trees replaced by better looking trees (in my opinion). Most come from the Ultra series. All the routes that were majority populated with Ultra trees are now bare. Both payware and freeware routes. As an example the Stock Hinton route is ok while a modified version is bare. Reloading from backup CPD files does not restore the trees I substituted.
Rather than do troubleshooting (been thru that discussion) I chose to examine retaining the original trees but "possibly" with a change. One of the most egregious issue with the N3V trees is the extreme change across an LOD boundary. Th close-in trees do look reasonable (ignoring the white trunks).
So, is there a way to extend the LOD or just totally ignore it. Yes I know that retains the hi-res version but how bad the FPS hit is is unknown. I may have enough "headroom" to tolerate a "no-LOD" setting......
