Looking for some old logging videos

Hey guys!

A while ago, when I was researching how logging operations used to work in the late 19th century/early 20th century, I came across some old black-and-white footage of logging operations. I don't remember the name, nor which railroad it was documenting, but I do remember some of the footage it had in it. If any of you know which video I'm trying to find, could you post a link?

I distinctly remember it started with how the logs were loaded onto the skeleton log cars, with the spar tree claws lifting and throwing the logs around like ragdolls it seemed. I remember also, near the end of the video, a triple (maybe it was a double) header of some of the more massive locomotives, one of which was a 2-10-2T. Another was a mallet of some kind, though I forget what the exact arrangement was.

If this rings a bell with anyone and you still know where to find the video, could you let me know? Many thanks!

I've got a color video transferred from VHS entitled "West Side: Slim Gauge Logging in Tuolumne County." It's circa 1940 or so. Probably not what you want, but let me know and I'll send you a copy.

Have you tried looking on "YouTube" for such videos.I just placed logging in their search panel and it but up many variations of logging.

Just an idea for you to consider.

Regards Dave.

@Stagefright: I believe it was on Youtube I last saw this, so it's all video that is (or was, if for some reason it was taken down) available to the public.

@Stationbeem: I've tried multiple Youtube searches with countless variations on logging, such as 'logging railroad,' 'logging operations' 'spar tree operations,' and still have not found anything. I'm actually beginning to wonder if the video was removed at some point in the past. It's too bad, if that's the case; I really liked that video.
