I'm thinking of getting back into Trainz and would love to get my hands on some GWR/BR ex-GWR stock for Trainz 12.
I'm particularly hoping to get the "Dukedogs" 32xx's, 45xx's, 4575's, 43xx's and 78xx's and accompanying rolling stock, as well as the Class 101 DMUs, in all variations and liveries (both GWR and BR) that would have been found on and around the Cambrian line between the 1950's and 1970's.
I would prefer to use an in-game setting to write custom engine numbers, select livery and select whether the locomotive/rolling stock is weathered or not.

Well, as stated, George (Skipper1945) is the author to look for.

Your second request is harder to satisfy since it is the individual author that makes those decisions. In most cases, I imagine they would base loco numbers on the number sequence available for a given year. Previously, I had used the Ian Allen Locospotters B.R. Locos. (1961) book as a reference, but in future I'd probably use the 1949 edition.

There is no practical way such changes can be implemented on a global (Trainz) basis.

My problem is that he doesn't have all the ones I require and I'm not sure which rolling stock i should be using.

There are a number of content creators creating for GWR and BR.

First try http://www.trainzproroutes.org/tprdownloads/index.php

Are you after goods or passenger? Would private owner wagons and vans be of interest? are you looking for high detail or you aren't too bothered? Scenery object wagons etc?

Weathered etc clone then edit the texture file and add weathering or change the loco numbers, it should be possible fairly easily.

There are 1,633 assets on the DLS with GWR in their name so I'd start there first. For goods rolling stock have a look at some of mine johnwhelan but there are many reskins by bobsanders that are GWR orientated.

George has done all of the locos you have listed except for the Mogul. He has also done pre-nationalisation Collett coaches, as has the late Andi06. Mike10 has done Mk1s which can be found on the S&C site and (probably) on the DLS. There are many wagons on the DLS too including (I think) the gunpowder vans commonly found on the Cambrian. Trainboi1 has done a Standard 4MT locomotive which replaced the Manors and the Dukedogs in the late 50s/early 60s. DMUs are a bit harder as there is no decent 101 but hopefully a Class 105 or a 117 would be a suitable alternative? There is a Class 103 (payware) on PaulzTrainz too. There are Class 25s on the DLS, and green Class 37s and 24s are included in the S&C pack.
