Does anyone know of some good Free drawings/plans of a Class A 15-ton Tee-boiler Climax locomotive, preferably (but not required to be) similar to the Climax of such specifications shown in this picture? I would love to make a model of one for Trainz (oh boy, another Climax! :)), but I can't seem to find any free drawings/plans of one on the Internet :'(.

All help is appreciated! Thanks.

Most likely there are none, very few steam loco plans are available maybe 10%! You can work from photos if you have photos of both sides, front, and back, it is not something for a beginner to try.

There is a fair number of steam loco drawings out there. The problem is that they are often found in magazines and books, which cost money. And since I am looking for just the drawings, why spend money for a magazine or book just for the drawings, open it up, and the drawings turn out to be something you don't want?

I would love to see a Class A Climax in Trainz, I just need the drawing so that I can make it. I know of books and mags that have them, but I am looking for some free ones.

Regards.

Have a look in the Drawings section of the Trainz Resources Directory. It has links to several sites with locomotive plans.

Hi John,

Thanks for bringing up Trainz Resources Directory again. This time I've added it to my Favorites so that I might remember to check it next time!:p Yes, there are plenty of drawings on there , but unfortunately, I did not find any Climax drawings.:( Thanks anyway. TRD might be useful someday.;)

If anyone else knows of some drawings of Class A Climax locos that match the specs listed in my first post above, then I appreciate your help! (note: the '15 ton' spec is no longer required. I don't really care about that much anymore.)

Thanks.

Narrowgauge Downunder is obviously an Australian Magazine.

It has featured a number of Climax Locos as part of a series of articles on making models of them.

The drawings are copyright so you will need permission to reproduce them.
