Looking for big 3ft gauge diesels

Does anyone know where I can find some big 36 in. gauge Diesels.

I'm talking about WPY 92s & 94s; 36 Yulcan Diesels, 36 in shunter body and the one I really like is the 36 gauge D1531 Forestry.

I found the NDEM 36ng D1531 but it has mesh problems. If anyone knows how to fix it I would greatly appricate it.

I have more than enough small diesels like the 36in Davenports.

I would like 2 or 3 more bigger ones but haven't found any more than these. I'm hoping someone out there knows where I can find some more.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Dave,

I'm not sure if this is helpful, but look for some of the Alco export locomotives. These were fitted with meter gauge and 36" gauge trucks. They are usually the DR series. There are also some Baldwin diesels that were also used as well. Check for units that were exported to South America. Countries such as Chile and Bolivia use them.

I remember seeing them on the DLS a while ago, but never downloaded them because I had no use for them at the time.

Mayb by me posting this here, this may spark some thoughts from the others here.

Here is another DL531:
D&RGW NG Road Switcher, kuid:240390:100100
It's on the DLS.

To fix the NdeM DL531 Open it for Edit in Content Manager and then select Edit in Explorer.
Now find these lines in the config.txt:
mesh-table
{
default
{
mesh "NdeM 36NG DL531_body/NdeM 36NG DL531_body.pm"
auto-create 1
}

shadow
{
mesh "NdeM 36NG DL531_shadow/NdeM 36NG DL531_shadow.pm"
auto-create 0
}
}
Now change "NdeM 36NG DL531_body/NdeM 36NG DL531_body.pm"
to "DL531_body/DL531_body.pm"
and "NdeM 36NG DL531_shadow/NdeM 36NG DL531_shadow.pm"
to "DL531_shadow/DL531_shadow.pm"
Save and exit your text editor and close the explorer window.
Remember to commit the changes.
It should now work.

Let me if that works for you and/or if you need more help with this.
:)

Thanks for all your help guys. I really appreciate it.

Your instruction were perfect. I got the engine working the first time and learned a little bit more about how a mesh is programmed. :D

Plus the D&RGW raod switcher is a great addition to my collection. I don't know why I didn't find that one on my own.:(

Tom

I want to thank you for you engine too. It now gives me 3 different 3ft road switchers. :)

Again I want to thank every one for your quick responeses and your help in finding me all these road switchers. It's a big help and gives me a great feeling to be able to run diesels on my narrow gauge routes.

Thats ok, just remember that you could repaint the same loco in paintshed your self to a livery you want for your layot then do what I did change the bogies thanks to a nice author who made them.

Also forgot look up Ben Dorsey's Narrow gauge diesals. 1 bogie Centre cab and 0-4-0, 0-6-0 and 0-8-0 Both internal and outside frame.
