Looking for a Route

Hi everyone.

A big HOPE here

Ive been trying to find a route from leicester to london,but to no avail.

does anyone know of such a route in existence ?

Or even a DEM's map of this route i could use.

Ive been looking at DEM'S but looks a little mind blowing for a newbie like me.

Is it as hard as i think or is it something i should think about trying?

any help/advice would be appreciated,

Hi Brad: Always try! If you have no experience of creating routes, my suggestion would be to create a really simple ficticious one first so that you can get the hang of track laying, creating terrain, using blends of colours for effect etc. When you can create a route that you are pretty happy with, then you can start the research re London/Leicester. As a guideline, my recent Leeds to Sheffield route in TC3 (in partnership with Harry Spurr) took over 2 years to create . BE PATIENT!!!!

Hi Brad

It really is not particularly difficult, but does need a lot of patience as it is a very "fiddly" job. Of course the results are your reward.

I am surprised that Leeds to Sheffield looked good on your version of Trainz because it was created in Trainz Classic 3 and all the trackside hedgerows, wooded areas etc were using built in assets which you would not have. I guess your version must have substituted somehow.
