Save, save, save..........
Before my 06 became corrupted and I had to start over, I had a power plant.

It was an industry enabled rectangle building, with a coal pit and elevated coal dump with animated conveyor to center of pit. Does anyone recognize this and know where I might find it? Ralph

1905 Power Plant

I'm looking for a small town power plant that would have been built around 1900 - 1910. The coal would have stored in a silo rather than a coal pile and there would be only one smokestack. Every small town of that era had one because there was no electrical grid to tap into. It was great for railroads - lots of coal traffic.:)

Also from that time period and before, almost every factory was powered by a stationary steam engine fed by a stationary boiler. I have been looking for a sutable structure for a factory boilerhouse and engine room, but have yet to find anything that looks appropriate. Any suggestions?

Hi Dap

Search the DLS for "Brewery Boiler House" making sure that 2004 is checked. It is a British model but may be what you are looking for.

Regards

Brian

Brian,

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked it out. It might work but it needs a coal silo or some other structure to store the coal. I'd like to see other styles of this structure, because putting it at every factory that needs a boiler/engine house starts to look kind of weird. Maybe I'll try my hand at reskinning it.
