looking for 2 paper mills

hello to all members: hope its ok to post this here.

I'm looking for 2 paper mills I have the names of them but want them for my layouts . the names of the paper mills are 1) meadvaco paper mill 2) wc gordon paper mill.

if its possible who would have the kuids for these 2.

Actually paper mills seem to be lacking in Trainz. But I believe Ish6 has done some paper mill assets. So search Ish6 as the author on the DLS and some assets may pop up.

Paper mill content is lacking very severely in Trainz. Check the DLS for all the paper mill content.

I made a temporary pulp mill in TRS2010 with built-in assets. Cane Mill
-1:100254 and Multiple Industry -3:10123 and a Warehouse sign 30671:23122. For me it works until a real pulpmill w/ industry comes along. I'm not able to create graphics.

ps ocala if you do not mind for me to ask this but how is your trs2010 doing I want one but waiting for all the bugs and sp fixes are done before I get it. change the subject I saw the trs2009 not to impressed about that one but the trs2010 I am.

Most of the raw materials/by-products are on the DLS. The only item missing, is the pulp. Most Pulp mills ship the pulp to a finishing plant where it is manufactured in the various paper products. Here's a better mill <kuid:67794:29002>

Another little known by-product of paper/pulp making using chemical pulping http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulp_mill is "Lignosulfonate" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lignosulfonates
Lignosulfonate, aka Lignin for short, is a by-product of pulping and is used in many industrial applications including cement, stucco, plaster and drilling mud.
If you are modeling an area that uses soft wood for pulp, the oxidization of Lignosulfonates also produces one of my favorites, vanillin http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vanillin used to make artificial vanilla flavor, mmmmm, yummy. It is stated that this is "not a current use".
Back in the day, 1980's -1990's, we used to tow barge loads of this stuff, lignin, on a monthly basis from pulp mills in B.C. Canada to the Monsanto Chemical plant in Seattle. When one was on the barge, there was a definite vanillin aroma that came from the vents.

If I remember correctly, the WC Gordon mill is NOT just a building/industry, it's a layout. So if had limited your search to just buildings, that would explain why you couldn't find it. But it's a nice small layout, easy to attach to any other boards you might be working on (I've altered it and have it serving as the Publisher's Paper mill in Oregon City).

I have no problems with TRS2010 to speak of and in fact I just ordered a second copy from Auran to have on hand if my present copy goes bad.
