Now T:ANE I can get into
Seeing as how things are looking grim for the Chicago Outer Belt Line, I figure it'd be appropriate to start a memorial thread here, not only for the lifelong fans of the road (Myself included), but to also expose it to those who may not be familiar with it...
Here are some pictures from the last two years I've shot of J action in my neck of the woods...
#703, a GP38-2 that's been on local duty by my house since 1996.
2 SD38-2's pulling a road freight through Rondout, IL.
The most common sight on the road, an SW1200.
Caught this around 2 summers ago, coming back from seeing that movie Disturbia. It's an SW1001 going up to the WSOR Horicon shops for a paint job.
I was initially shocked to see this come back from Horicon. #303 was the last switcher in the brown scheme that lasted 40 years.
Somehow, the lone SW1500 found its way up to my neck of the woods this summer.
All of these pictures can also be found on the EJ&E Wikipedia article (I revamped).
Long Live The J.
