Hi
What are the requirements for having your logo shown on the forum? Either as a signature or below my Posts\Threads.
I have a nifty (I know, self praise Etc ) logo and have displayed it on other Forums, but it seems I'm not allowed one on this Forum.

Allow PHP BBCode No
Allow HTML BBCode No
Allow Quote BBCode No
Allow HTML NoAllow Smilies Yes
Allow Code Yes
[B][COLOR=red]Can Upload Images for Signature No[/COLOR][/B]
Can Upload Animated GIF for Signature No

If you upload an image to a web hosting site and link it in, it will display.

If you right click on my LOGO, below, and choose properties you will see where my LOGO is hosted (my Trainz site). You need to have your LOGO hosted on line (Auran will not host it) and link to it, for it to show up.

So. Do you think that it would work if I uploaded and a logo on a certain thread on these forums and then take that and put it into my signature box?

Upload it where? For an image/sig to show up it needs to be hosted on a server. It is not possible to upload an image/sig directly to the forum.

Upload it to imageshack. Where I upload all of my pictures so that I can share them with the rest of the world.

Yes that's the ticket. Once your LOGO/Sig is on imageshack you will be able to have it show up on your posts.

Setting up you sig

Hi Ben. The point is that once you set up the sig properly, it shows up on your posts automatically. If you click on User CP and choose EDIT SIGNATURE, you will be able to set up your signature.

So actually I already know how to set up my signature. It's just how to make another user go to a certain thread when he clicks on my logo/signature picture that I'm going to produce soon.

No problem!

Ah! I see. Well that requires you to install a link in the sig with the INSERT LINK tool (the little globe with two chain links). Just highlight your sig in the Edit Signature area of User CP and then click on the insert link tool and paste the address of the thread into the requestor, and Bob's your uncle!

Which means I'll have to make a web site (Thought So), between route building, content creation & messing with my boat I've never bothered.
I'll have to see if I can squeeze in some time and 'Make It So' (I'm a fan as well ).
Know of any good, free, web spaces. I'm disabled and rapidly approaching my Pension so I'll have to watch the budget, and more importantly, my other half (Mrs):hehe:

What about your DialUp/ADSL host, these usually let you have some free web space on their web site, some 5-10 MB or so of space (at least here in Australia). Where you can upload some pictures etc. and link to them from the forum pages you post in.

Another way would be to Google for "Free web sites" where you can get some free web sites to join. But be prepared to get some pop ups/advertising etc. with most of these.

Just a thought

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately my ISP don't provide web space, although I have placed a post in their 'suggestion box'.
I have taken a look at MSN Spaces, which is free, so I might construct a simple Web Page for that.
