Locomotive Bell & Hornsound bariley audible outside of cab

I'm back. >:]
You read it - I've been having a frustrating dilemma with sounds - It seems if you're working with a cab-less locomotive, you can't hear whistle and bell sounds at a decent volume outside of the engine!

I've increased the decibel count on the Bell sound in audacity, but it only sounded worse in Trainz upon Testing.

Any help? (Trainz 2006 btw)

Hi Sampug394
As Trainz attaches whistle/bell sounds to the 'a.cabfront' attachment point, these may not be properly audible if the attachment point is missing. What happens is that the sounds are attached to a corner of one of the baseboards in the map, and will play from that location. In some places, they will be audible, whilst in others they are not (since you would be too far from the sounds).

To fix this, you will need to add an a.cabfront attachment point. This can be done using PEV's attachment tool.

This applies to all locomotives in Trainz.

I seem to be having the same problem. I don't know how to add an a.cabfront attachment point when I'm making a horn.

It's not that old, and it IS helpful! At least, I was not aware of it. I'm sure many others will find their answer as well.
