Load sticking

Hi all,

Im having a strange problem and I can't figure out why trainz is behaving like it.

I assign in the command queue a train to go to a trackmarker (which is a station) then tell it to load, then tell it to move off to the next trackmarker (next station). However the train pulls into the station, doors open, loads, doors close, then does nothing. It seems to get stuck on the load command as the icon stays on load in the command queue. I've waited for over a couple of minutes and the train just sits there, without jumping onto the next command of going to the next track marker.

Does anyone know what i'm doing wrong? I've tried a couple of different stations and trains and its doing the same thing.

Many thanks

Hi CasyJ

It says 'issue a drive to command prior to the load command'

Which doesn't make much sense to me, as that appears what i'm doing.. hmm!

My commands are

Drive to trackmarker 1
Load
Drive to trackmarker 2
Load

The train fails to go beyond trackmarker 1 and throws up the error.

loading can only be done after a 'drive to' command has been issued

Hi 2stepsteve,

Are you using passenger enabled stations? If so you do not need trackmarks. If you are using non passenger enabled stations the problem arrises because the train has not completed the load command and will not complete the command.

and the 'drive to' needs to be to an interactive asset.

I started to edit this then saw your response.

Since you are using TM to stop at the right place forget the 'load' command.
As long as you've tripped the station trigger the loading will happen.

Do it this way:
Drive to TM1
Wait for 30 sec
Drive to TM2
wait for 1 min

Hi Bill yes I am using passenger enabled stations.. I started using trackmarkers for passenger stations because of a problem where the front end of the train was stopping too far and hanging over the end of the platform.

Is there a way to get around this problem?

Hi 2stepsteve,

The only way to get around the problem of the train stopping at the extreme end of the platform is to use AJS invisble stations. There is a kit available on the DLS which will download all the dependancys. With the AJS stations the train will stop at the centre of the platform. They do have a bit of a learning curve, but there are tutorials available.
It's either that or use lynxfan's method and missout the load command.

Hope this helps,
Bill69
