Little Red Bug in HarborMaster Senario #4 "Cookies"

Hi, I'm new here, & have a question about a Little Red Bug in HarborMaster Senario #4 "Cookies" It appears to the right side of my screen but does not appear any where else, in other senarios.

In messages is says: mfxLib:Warning:script version/config file mismatch! (file gs.gs)(1)

I have no idea how to proceed here. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? :confused:

Thanks, Markd39

Hi Mark --

This might be a little difficult for me to resolve because I don't have the Mac version of Trainz.

A couple of questions:
  1. Is this a built-in session (I can't find it on the Download Station)?
  2. Does Content Manager show that you have no missing dependencies or sub-dependencies?

mfxLib is a library that provides, amongst other function, animations and sounds for freight cars.

It is possible that one of the freight cars that is required by the session that you downloaded from the Download Station requires an earlier version of mfxLib or that it is missing.

One approach would be to identify the non built-in freight cars used by the session and see if any require mfxLib.

Tell me how you go.

Phil

Hi Phil,

I have the same error in that session. As fas as I know it is a built-in route and session. (AFAIK you are the original author of the route.) Updating mfxlib alone does not help; as you said one also has to update the freight cars that use an old mfxlib. That is, if one can find these cars. I do have the Mac version, but in another thread they say that it makes no difference; the problem should be on a Windows PC as well.
Ignoring the message seems to lead to strange effects, as for instance AI trains using the player train's track thus blocking everything.

I also don't have a MAC to test it on, but just now tried it in TS2010 build 49933, no script error bug here. Still a lot of unanswered questions about MAC compatibility;

http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?76753-Cant-start-Multiplayer-session-in-TS-MAC/page3

I changed that grain hopper to use something like corn instead of that grain dependency so it WOULD be compatible with MAC, but unless a content creator has access to a MAC with the Trainz MAC version to test it on, compatibility across the platforms is pure trial and error.

I just tried it on my Mac version, no bugs. Be advised though, I have zero third party content installed, just what came with the program. Had my fill with that bug from TS12. More than once I had something I installed trash built in routes with that bug, even though not used in a route or session.

Curious, would this be related to that rusty rebar product that allegedly screws up all the builtin products? I had an unexplained script error in the PC TS2010;

http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?94405-More-built-in-script-errors

Looked at the jetlog.txt file to find the problem, turned out to be a missing driver command - which for some odd reason is in the list of commands that can be activated but is not built in, and does not get added to the KUID table for the session if you do activate it. I would look at that session, check the session rules driver commands to see what's activated, and check that you have all those installed.

Just play the session and don't worry about. Having Trainz for Mac I know that it doesn't matter at all.
