I have my route set for occasional rain but it rains far too often. Every few hours would be tolerable but not every few minutes. Is there a way to regulate the frequency of the event?

Yep, get the weather rule from the DLS. It lets you set the percentage chance of rainfall, clouds and snow etc and you can vary the length of time between the change of weather.

I can't seem to find it. The only weather thing I've found makes droplets on the camera lens when outside the cab. (Weather V2 I think it was called)

Got a kiud number?

If memory serves me correctly, there are two weather rules available, and they do the job differently.

Trainz Regional Weather Rule for TRS 2004 ... allegedly still in beta, but probably about to go out of beta

This will let you set the weather in different regions of your route. Uses trackmarks as triggers. Worth a look, and I think this also works in TRS06.

Nah....what you want is the Set Driver's Conditions Rule. It allows you to change the time, weather and method of control while in Driver.
