Weekend construction has taken out the local tracks at the 168 street station. Crews have spent all of Friday night and Saturday removing and replacing old rails and road bed. Tonight they will pour concrete and apply third rail power so that trains can run for the Monday morning rush.
An R32 with incorrect signs enters 168 Street but is being held by the flagger.
A look down the platform.
Next to the forman on a flat car ocer seeing the work.
Checking the alignment of the track before pouring concrete.
Signal Dept. checks on a new signal.

A spot of tracklaying at Claxheugh cutting on the Sunderland to Penshaw line.In 1962 BR replaced most of the signals on this line with new steel ones and relaid a lot of track. 5 years later they closed the line and torched the signals!In 1976 the remaining track was ripped up, but relaid in 2001 for Metro trains....:'(

Where did you get that "juice car" in the above screenshot? And where did you get that yellow flatbed (it's the thing the foreman is standing on) and the foreman himself?
