KUID searching

Let me start out by saying this is not a flame towards anyone but more of a helpful guide when it comes to searching for KUID's

1) You can search the DLS to see if the item is on the DLS and make sure you check every single box. If you get no results then the item isn't on the DLS.

2) If the item is not on the DLS then google KUID:123456:7890 and see what turns up and if nothing turns up then google can't find it.

3) If google can't find it then check the forums and search for KUID:123456:7890 and see what comes up and if nothing turns up then ask on the forums and see if anybody else knows where to find it.

When asking for help please tell us what KUID is looking for that particular KUID and if you have tried searching the DLS, google, forums, etc.

People will help you as long as you ask nicely otherwise people may or may not help you if you are being rude, demanding, etc. Do onto others as they would do onto you.

The problem I have in searching the forum is if you use KUID:123456:7890 (as an example ) it returns posts that contain kuid, 123456 or 7890. How do you force it to search for the full string. Normally I would enclose it in quotes or put a + between the terms but from what I remember that does not work.

The google search will be better than the forum search, I have just done a google search for a kuid, and all seven results were from this forum, and each one in a separate thread

Google, and other search engines, regularly send a bot to trawl through forums of all kinds.
