JR Rolling Stock - kicking and humping cars with handbrakes

Hello All,

I was wondering if there is a way to apply and release the handbrakes on the JR rolling stock and keep them applied and or released? It makes it difficult to kick and or hump cars when the car that is uncoupled will only roll two or three car lengths after they separate from the rest of the cut before the Handbrakes automatically apply.

Not automatically, but you can control the handbrakes from the car Properties menu. Click once to gradually apply, click once more to rapidly stop the car.

Ok I will give it a try.

one other question: is it difficult to set up the TPR Hump controller and is there any printed instructions for it? ( well I guess that's 2)

they dont auto apply the brakes, in fact the reason they were made that way was so they could be kicked unlike a default car.

What is this asset, that allows the last car in a consist to become auto uncoupled once it pass's the switch man, enabling kicking the car after passing the switch man ?
