Joining layouts together.

Suffering for his art.
I own TRS2004 and on some layouts I've downloaded it says "can be joined to your existing layout". How do I achieve this and also how do I use the copy and paste tools in surveyor I've been messing around with it for ages with no luck.

Cheers Andy

Howdy Andy...........

To do a simple COPY & PASTE, click on the button that says "select area 'B' ", and drag the mouse until you have the area you want to copy completely within the box. It will be identified by a broken white line.

Now you can right click on the mouse to go to the area where you want to place this copied area. Hit the "paste mode 'P' " button, and the area will have the broken white line. Just scroll to the point you want to paste it to, and left click on the mouse.

Hope this helps.

Before I left the USA, I was in a club that do modules at 2X2 set to a standard for track locations so that any one can be connected to another. It is too bad that there are so many standards involved in creators content. Some of the assets I have made are set to adapt to others assets, while later assets are set to a standard following trainz format. As for your problem, make a new section between what you want to connect and set the tracks to match each, inteleg!

Two basic principles...
1: If the two layouts you want to merge don't match in height or track location, add one or more baseboards to one of the layouts to blend them together.
2: All your industries will almost certanly become disconnected. Go through to all the factories, stations, mines and what have you, and use the move track feature to reconnect all the rails.
