Hi, if you're into model railroading, I'm sure you've heard of John Allen (aka wizard of Monterrey).I was just wondering if there was any of his content on the DLS, such as his Timesaver layout, buildings and industries or even better, the original Gorre and Daphetid Railroad!

Good day =D

If you'd done a search you'd find three Gorre and Daphetid. One by Tokkyu40, an updated UTC layout by SuperFudd, and the original by Shadowline. One Timesaver by caroper from MR mag based on Mr Allen's.

I modelled the original G&D table top layout, plus the Devil's Gulch & Helengon expansion. Superfudd's route is the big basement layout. I have that one too, and it's very nice. I haven't seen the others, so I can't comment.

The small Razorback Shunt layout includes Timesaver, plus Inglenook Sidings and a few more shunting puzzle track configurations.

Larry's created a couple of activities for Timesaver and my TFN05 has a "Towers Of Hanoii" puzzle game implemented on the Inglenook tracks (!).

In addition, several of the activities for our Razorback Classic layout also involve shunting puzzles of various types.

Sorry, you'll need to take out a subscription with us to download any of the Razorback Shunt items.

If you're not familiar with the Razorback Railway then be sure to visit the Getting Started section of our FAQ.

BTW we have quite a few freeware items available if you'd like to sample those first, for example TFN01 is the classic realworld railway shunting problem of getting a long train past a long consist of parked wagons at a short passing loop.

All these will work with TRS2004 and (except for one particular activity) also with TRS2006.

HTH, and have fun!

John
