
Electro Island Railway Journal - Toshin - 14-02-201 After years of problems with the 700-series the trains where eventually sent back for repairs at the Shin Hanyo Depot. Thanks to expert help from Hirochi industries the 10 trainsets of 700-series scheduled for service on the Colden Shinkansens where repaired. The trains underwent a complete bogie replacement. Tail lights where fixed and Hirochi Industries also installed a new tilting system.
Chairman Anderson from Colden Rail who is the owner of the Colden Shinkansen as well as many other officials attended the welcome ceremony at ToShin Station. In good company among many rail fans. The above picture is of set C42 driving for the first time since years into Toshin. The trains are expected to be rescheduled soon. They will soon be in good company along the N700, 700 railstars and 500 sets. Also the 0 series is kept in excellent condition for runs along the Colden Shinkansen.
