Japan Rail 500 Shinkansen

My boy scout troop was recently invited to take part in one of the local cub scout pack's Pinewood derby (google it if you need) I came up with an idea to make a JR 500 shinkansen pinewood derby car. the only problem is all i have right now to go off from is 4 pictures in a book. I have come up with a basic sketch of what I think I can do. but I want to know if my sketches have come out closest to what the real one looks like. I have a great side view pic but that is about it. I'm wondering if someone could either scrounge up some drawings of one (preferably: top down, on-end front, & on-end back) so I can compare? or if no one has any drawings if someone could load up the 500 in TRS and take some screenies? If I get my computer back anytime soon I'll scan my drawings in and show em, but that wont be for another week at the earliest (or so I assume)

Dude... You like totally stole my idea from 6 years ago. Think of something original, really.

:D

Actually I did a 300 series, but a 500 should be feasible. There are of course, pictures on the good ol' interwebs, (wikimedia commons has a few) and for construction, I'd recommend a dremel tool. Also, those cars are pretty low slung, add some sort of extension to the top so as to model the train properly.

adding to the top would make the car too tall; most shinkansen cars are not that tall but very long. Due to that fact I will be squishing the car down a ways (length wise).

for those who are interested my other PWD cars include:
Amtrak Dash 8 (pepsi can)
Thrust SSC
a "generic" race car with a US Flag paint scheme (glow in the dark stars :) )
an Recycling truck
and something else that I'm not remembering (my collection is in storage)

my dad is known in the boy scouts here for his amazing and bizzare cars; such as:
a spider
the roadrunner (from loony toons)
harry potter catching the snitch
and the one he is currently building: Willie E Coyote.

I might wander down to the BSA office again and get another kit and make an Acela I've come up with a fairly nice idea of how I want it to come out (or I'll do that if I can't get some good JR500 pics)

I am a scout. (not a Cub scout, the next level up.) I plan to bring the event to Australia to my troop. (our groups are called troops rather than packs.)
