Its Turned Black How Can I Fix This

Hi everyone now that I have my computer back I have had the Hard drive replaced
I am now reloading TRS2010 and what do you think has happened? Yep some of my Assettes and Running stock has turned BLACK
Now heres the GOODY I have THUMBE Nails and no Running strock and as I say what running stock I have is BLACK
So I am BEGGING can someone please please help me to fix this

But for your sake I recommend you remove your E Mail addy from the forum and instead request that anyone who wants/can offer to help does so by using the PM sysrem.

G'day cvkiwi,

Chris, it isn't the people here that you need to worry about. There are things called "address-bots", which are programs that automatically search through forums such as these specifically for the purpose of finding e-mail addresses in their 'natural' format - as you had provided it above. Because of this, it is more common practise to enter an e-mail address in a form that these programs Cannot 'read', such as...

"garry" underscore "j" underscore "au" at "yahoo" dot "Com" dot "au"

...which is a format that the 'bots' can't understand but people can...

This sounds like what is a known issue that seems to be prevalent with some nVidia cards and a lot of people here have been posting similar problems. Look in the TS2010 thread. Look here:

This thread suggests it may be a Trainz issue but nearly everyone I've encountered with this issue uses nVidia 400-series. Seems a workaround is do disable hardware acceleration in Trainz. You may or may not have to open and recommit all assets in CMP.

Hay there Thank You But it did not help
I uninstilled TRS2010 and loaded TRS2009 and that did the same thing so I uninstilled 2009 and loaded 2006 and that tells me that the URL key did not load so now I can't even get on to the DLS of 2006

So I am going to Reload 2010 BUT can you please tell me where I can find HARDWARE COMPRESSION?

Did you install and update your graphics drivers?

Have you tried running Trainz in both modes - Direct X and Open GL? Do your assets turn black in both modes?

I am no computer expert, but I have a feeling this has something to do with graphics drivers and/or graphics settings.

Can I suggest you ask for help on the "Parts and Labour" section - there are some good guys who know what they are about with 'puters over there!

This problem seems to be spreading like wild fire.
I'm not too sure on the driver issue as I run Tz06 perfectly and Tz2010 like a funeral procession from the same HDD, but, yes it's on a pair of Nv460's and after a reinstall and update with the latest Trainz patches.
There is also a thread that claims it is happening with ATI cards too, they also had just reinstalled and patched before it all went black.

Well Now First of all Thank You all for all the help
It seems I got a little Pissed with my computer so it is back in the shop and the boys there are going to look into this but they don't know trains so I don't think they well be able to fix it
so lets wait and see I well let you know whart happeneds
In the mean time I am haveing to use my wifes lap top to chat to you all
