It's Shocking!

how about this one

Dionne Fresch of Peoria, Illinois has filed a lawsuit against the Santa Fe Southern Railway for negligence. In 1998, Ms. Fresch was homeless and sleeping on the railroad tracks under a brown blanket when a train ran over her, injuring her legs. She alleges that the railroad "failed to keep a lookout for people on the tracks and failed to stop or reduce speed," and that the railway "should have known" she was lying under a blanket on the tracks. The engineer claims procedure was followed when the train, going only eight miles an hour, honked its horn 300 feet from the crossing. Railway manager Bob Sarr said Ms. Fresch’s claims are "categorically untrue and inappropriate."

btw: what the heck is the santa fe southern!? did they forget to add the pacific?

The Santa Fe Southern should counter sue to have her committed. You must be insane to sleep on railroad tracks.

BTW, wouldn't that be trespassing?

he was drunk and climbed atop a train how stupid could you be? It was completely his fault not Amtrak. Stupid Head.

Another item of note lately is the warnings associated with various medications. The side effects are worse then what they are trying to cure.

Ben

I don't care how pizza-faced you are, do not take Isotretinoin (a.k.a. Accutane) for acne if you or your family has a history of Inflammatory Bowel Disease of any kind. You will regret it dearly.

Speaking from personal experience, I'm afraid  Although then again the warnings for Accutane certainly never mentioned anything about Crohn's Disease, or any form of IBD for that matter

Oh well. Stuff happens. I digress...

As to the Amtrak case, why am I not surprised it's in America? It's the 1% of the population this utterly stupid that gives the rest of us a bad name...seriously, you never hear about the other, perfectly sane 99% on the news, because that would be boring

Perfectly Sane American Heeds Warning Signs....yawn...

sort of along the same lines...at work the other day I was helping a lady get here electric wheelchair our of her van when I noticed this label on it:
