Hey everyone,

I'm trying to rebuild my database, and it's been stuck at the same asset for about 5 hours now. Is this normal?

Best,

Josef

That's not right.

What version are you running? If you are running a beta version, the DBR may be "hung" due to an Assertion error message that's being blocked by another window. Once you click ignore on the Assertion error message, the process will continue and should be fine.

Now, if this isn't the beta-versions you may have to kill the DBR and start over. Before you do, empty the following folders. In your Trainz data folder, wherever that's located, empty out cache/internet and cache/libraries. I have found that when the DBR process is taking a long time, emptying those folders helps.

Error window is a "pop under"..real PITA.."pop over" would really be better for obvious reasons.
Yup, I agree. This issue has caught me unaware a couple of times that's why I mentioned it.

I used to support a CRM and business package where I used to work that had a similar issue where the users would complain about lockups. The so-called lockups were caused by one of the forms slipping behind the active window due to the window frame overlapping just a hair and the user clicking on it by mistake. I discovered this annoyance one day after unlocking users for over a decade when I had to do some data entry for purchasing and order administration. By then it didn't matter because there were only 6 users left in the company by then.

Hey there, I'm running Trainz Plus, it's not a beta version.

As you failed to post in the version related support forum:
Which version of the game?
... that way I can move the topic there.
