Hi All,

I normally don't result in posting bad stuff on Forums however I have serious issues with the TRS2012 Digital Download I purchased last Sunday.

After waiting 24 hours to download all 6 files I found that I seem to be missing well over 400 Files from my content and in fact I am yet to play the TRS2012 version as nothing appears to be function IE Locos and routes missing files etc.

unsure if this is related by an error install stating corrupt file builtin\ts12h.ja

I have run the update as well and that seems to fix nothing.

I have contacted Auran several times via the help desk to request a Hard Copy of the game to ensure I have no issue with the digital download however to no response.

I am very disappointed so far as I have been a fan of the previous Trainz versions and have hours of serious fun running my layouts....

Can some please help me fill in the gaps....

HI brettg1981

Since i dont have TS12 yet Try opening Content Manager and do a Extended Database Repair to see if this helps you.

If you are seeing an error message about corrupt files during installation, then you will need to uninstall, redownload the problem files, and try the installation again. Nothing else will fix the problem.

There have been plenty of guides posted regarding how best to download the files, please search the TS12 forum if you need help with this process.

kind regards,

trainz12 install problems

I had the same trouble with the digital download. There are alot of bad asset files too.

Missing assets in 2012 after electronic download

I had the same problem as several people have reported, no assets were available after download. However; I tricked a bit around and found the following which solved my problem: During installation you are asked for the user name. PLEASE ONLY USE THE USERNAME YOU HAVE IN AURAN, THE ONE YOU USE WHEN LOGGING INTO AURAN. When I did this, everything went fine.

I have already given this answer to an "important" ticket to Auran, I hope that this fix also works for you!

Best of luck, from Tore in Norway (torol)

Missing content from digital download

I downloaded Trainz 12 and realized that it was missing allot of the game content aswell. I sent a refund request or hard copy request to the help desk and they have not responded yet. I am very upset at this because it cost me US $50.00 and DOES NOT WORK! This has to seriously be addressed before a law suite proceeds. This is ripping people off and I love trainz but this takes the cake.

A law "suite" won't do anything in this case. The program is only $50.00! You'll spend more in lawyer fees than all of this is worth.

Anyway. There really is a ton of stuff here. Just for kicks, try unchecking the gold star when you are in Trainz. This will show everything, and not just the favorite items which the gold star shows.

You'll be amazed at what's available and more...

If you're missing content that's supposed to be there (assuming that's really the case, as opposed to simply not being able to find it) go to the TS2010 forum and review the sticky about assets incorrectly being marked as faulty. Zec's post, the first one, tells you what to do.

My TS2012 digital download/install etc worked flawlessly - not that that helps the OP. I did note, that when I went to download, I had to choose a username and did not see an option to use my regular Trainz login that I use here on the forum. I registered under a new name, however, when I installed TS2012, I used my normal login details so that Planet Auran would update my details on my profile and the forum. This seems to be the same thing Toro mentioned earlier in this thread.
The other unusual thing I noticed when I was installing TS2012 was that it wanted to install into C:/Program Files (x86)/N3V/TS2012, but then 'suggested' the start path be located in C:/Program Files (x86)/Auran/2010.
I changed the start path to ..../Auran/2012, and everything seems to be ok.
I was surprised at the amount of 'updated content' required, but again, no problems were encountered.

Cheers
