Island - New Route

Electric Blue
Hello everybody, I've managed to start myself and have made a station on my first PC route. :) I can't come up with a title, but eventually... So I've posted a screenshot of the yard of the station, called Nerall Junction. This is a dead-end station, but not quite a terminus. A larger terminal station is (going to be) a while away on this main line. The branch line on this route takes a right (left from picture view) and connects many small towns, and finally cuts off after a few stations. Left 2 tracks are coach stables, right 3 are freight lines. There is an engine shed, and refueling point, at the actual station itself.

So, left to right, here goes:
• A Class 33 pulls a short passenger rake out to Platform 1
• The morning passenger sits in the coach stable
• Twin 24's get the green flag, and are ready to depart with a mixed freight
• The Condor service comes to a halt after the early-morning run, with a tired Class 45 at the lead
• A short rake scheduled on the branch waits for its just-refueled Class 37 to take the lead, and wait for the twin 24's to clear the line.
• An exhausted Class 47 rests in the engine shed after bringing in the morning passenger
• It's lazy day for a Class 31 who has the day off

Now, for the main reason I started this thread; What do you guys think of it? It's supposedly based late 1960's, but no steam at all. Small real-world features leak into it. Also, some quick interrogations...

Is the current track (Bullhead 09) suitable for my setting?

Are there any good station buildings for the AJS Kit platforms?

What point levers, buffers, and any other trackside objects would be best?

Any good passenger, express, mail MK1 formations?

Thanks everybody.

a couple of things to note. First off this should really be in the screenshots thread but no matter. The 1960's saw track in the UK changing over to concrete, so a mixture of track would be appropriate. Also remember that in the UK the trains always run on the left hand track (Im assuming that this will be UK based as you have used UK locos on the track). On that point also the Blue diesels were not yet in vogue, (1970s colour scheme) it was green for most diesels.

For most UK infrastructure would suggest open the Kings Cross to Newcastle route and navigate through that, which will give you an idea of things to use and using the picker tool drag into your favourites box. Otherwise Search on the DLS is your friend. There's some buffers built in which suit the UK style and for point motors look for WH63 (I think).

Obviously this is an early effort but at least think about investing in Transdem so you can base your project on a real location with proper terrain etc.

I'll try to move it there. And, I do know that BR (UK) ran LHS, I just started setting up the branch signals today! Keep in mind, it's a yard.

Would the SnC boast the same things? I definitely know that the add-on has helped me with sempahore signaling!
