Is this a glitch?

When I play the Big Steam Grade session on the Marias Pass route, on the screen that comes up that says that you have completed it, instead of clicking on the tick (which ends the session), if you click on the arrow to go back to the first screen and then click on the tick you can drive the rest of the route.

Is this a glitch or was this purposely made?
