Is there a way to repeat a routine/trip an N number of times?

Trainzing since 12-2003
I was hoping for and searched the DLS for a rule that would allow me to have a consist repeat a trip an "N" number of times then do something else.

This is going to be used for a passenger train that starts at the servicing depot, runs 5 times during the virtual day, then unloads all passengers and returns to the depot.

Perhaps my search terms are wrong? Has anybody seen anything like this before?

Thanks,

John

You want the copy commands from and the schedule library rule
kuid2:192081:1:6 and kuid2:192081:12:4
Place the tasks you want repeated in the library and use the copy command to call up the task in driver set up

That's a great idea, Stagecoach. I use the library rule all the time to setup my train schedules. I'll give this a try.

I thought it would be easier to use a single rule with a plug-in number for a specific number of repeats. ;)

Thanks,

John

In theory could you put the relevant Driver Commands in a Driver Setup rule which is inside an Ordered List rule, and set the Ordered List to run the required number of times? I haven't tested this though.

It might be easier to do it in Trainz Pro Routes' SCS (or as a GameScript scenario if you're using TRS2004).

You've got me thinking about this, John. When I get a chance I'll look into it. I have to break away from Trainz for a bit today and do some homework. This is our Labor Day holiday here, but I have to give in and my reading for school tomorrow. ;)
