Hey,
Just wondering, is there a newer Flying Scotsman than the original from TRS04? One with the newer steam effects like on the Britannia and 9f from TC3, and new enginesounds too?
If there isn't one, I may edit the old one to make new one myself, just for personal use. Or maybe ask the original's creator if I could distibute it?
Thanks
Mitch

It seems there are somewhat newer versions of Paul Hobbs Flying Scotsman on the DLS.
Gresley A3 Flying Scotsman loco as preserved with deflectors <kuid2:44090:1049:3>
Gresley A3 Flying Scotsman loco as preserved without deflectors <kuid2:44090:1051:2>

They are for Build Version 2.4 and up. (I don't know where TC3 fits in.) Mallard versions on the DLS seem very old, but the one included in TS2010 seems like it may be newer then that. Not sure what one you have so have no idea how old it is. The one in TS2010 is LNER A4 Mallard <kuid2:4468:4465:4> which does not seem to be on the DLS.

Hi Mitch456yui,

You could always try here, but it's payware from Paulz Trainz...

Here is the picture...

There are other classic steam engines on this site too. I'm not too sure if they work with TC3 though, hopefully Paul will show up here soon to confirm, but these do work in Trs 2004 / 2006 / 2009 and I think they have been adapted for Trs 2010.

Hope this helps

Yes all my locos work fine in TRS2006 and TC3, as well as the more popular TS2009 and TS2010 (compatible and native modes).

New engine specs and sounds are for TC3 onwards of course.

There is an A3 included with TC3, but not with Flying Scotsman nameplates. It doesn't have a double chimney though, but then neither did the real ones...

Well, they did in BR days, hence the smoke deflectors.

Perhaps an LNER A3 would be something to think of for future models for TC3?

Just a thought, not up to me.
