Is There a "Directory" of Interrelated Industries?

I was wondering if anyone ever created a list of interrelated industries (specifically for Trainz2009)? What I mean by that are "load/unload" compatible combinations. For example, I know I can pick up logs from Forestry and drop them off at either the Lumber Yard or the Seaport. So Forestry/Lumber Yard would be one "set" and Forestry/Seaport would be another. I ask because I find myself using the same couple industries out of familiarity. A list would make it easier to pick and choose what I want where without as much trial and error.

While I'm at it - and I know this is a newbie question - how do you rename assets? For example, how do I change the name or a station or an industry? I see some passenger stations, for example, have "Name" on the signs, which I presume means you can customize them. But it would help to be able to specify names so they appear on the map and the "Navigate To" menu.

Thank you!!

hello: I do not know about trs09 but in maybe you can use this as an example

trs06 if you are in surveyor in your layout if your click on the building tab and see a question mark botom right hand corner click on that it will highlight in green then go to the building or industry that you want to change the name and a proprties box popup in it you should see name at the top delete the default name and put your building name in its place and click on the green check mark and on the building properties box and you should see it on the station or the industry.

this works for trs06 so I do not know about trs09

I have a .xlsx spreadsheet that I am using to create a route in 2009. One of the tabs has all of the built-in industries from 2006 (except for the "multi" ones), what they make and what they need. It also has a table of of needs, for example, a Coal Mine "needs" 0.369 Oil Refineries, based on the default settings for Diesel Fuel consumption at the mine and produstion at the refinery. One of these days I will go through and update it for the 2009 built-ins, but that list is quite extensive and I can't figure out how to narrow the list of buildings down to Industry only.

Anyhow, if you'd like a copy of what I have so far, PM me an email addy and I'll send you the sheet. If you don't have Excel 2007, I can save it to an older version for you, just let me know.

Eric
