Hi, I'm wondering if ''actually'' we can get a PC that will handle the maximum of trainz without having to calculate if we have too much details, too much trees...and so one (with a budget less than $ 2 000) ?
I explain: when Flight simulator X first came out, it was not really possible to get a PC that could handle it with all slidders in max and with a 25+ fps. But, some years after, the technology was there and affordable, so it was possble to to put all sliders in max and get 60 fps.
Now I'm building a proto route that is 4km wide, has a lot of speedtrees, houses, farms, cows, details, and....... its a slideshow 4-6 fps sometimes (for sure). Actually, I got a intel Q9550+ HD4890 1gb+ 8gb ram.
If I upgrade with an Intel i7 3820 (3.6 ghz) and a GTX 670 2gb and a SSD Hard drive, will I get to the summit ? Will I still have to calculate how many details I can put and will I be able to set all sliders to max......or fps and draw distance will always be a concern (at least for the moment)?
Thanks for your reply !
