iPad vs. Mac in App Store

Kind of a basic question, but I can't find an answer anywhere. I've had Trainz on our iPad for sometime...we just got a new Mac and I see there's a Mac version in the App Store...what's the difference between the two versions...

I love the iPad version....thanks for the help!!

The mac version has WAY more content.

The Mac version of Trainz is the equivalent of TS12's interface with TS2010's content, or something like that.

All add-ons from the DLS are available for TS: MAC, although older content that has errors and needs to be fixed is harder to fix on a Mac due to PEV's tools being PC only.

Also, the DLC pcks from N3V Games are not for Mac, they are PC only.

In very basic terms:

The iPad version is at the level of the original Trainz from 2001 (but with interface enhancements) and you can only import very limited content.

The Mac version lies somewhere between TS10 and TS12 and can use content from the Download Station but not the N3V download content.
