Can someone tell me what an invisible station, such as the AJS are supposed to be used for?

Can someone tell me what an invisible station, such as the AJS are supposed to be used for?

The invisible station consists only of an industry active part that loads and unloads passengers (but the passengers themselves are visible). This allows you to place it next to one of the many non active patforms or complete stations available on the DLS and turn it into an active platform/station.
