Invisible Speed Signs

I'm working on a layout in TS2010. I have a yard that I wanted to have a low speed limit. I put signs at the entrance to the yard, but AI trains that start inside the yard still default to the standard 40mph. This is a well known issue, and I tried to solve it using invisible speed signs. I tried putting a sign at either end of each step of the yard ladder to catch trains going either way. So I setup the invisible speed sign on the west end. Then, when I setup the invisible speed sign on the east end, the one on the west end changed back to it’s default configuration. I can only setup up the sign on one end, but when I setup the other sign it changes the first back to default. The pointed end of the signs are pointing out (towards the switches). To setup the signs I’m clicking the "kph" to change it to mph, and then clicking the "disable", entering 10 and hitting return twice. When I’m done, the face of the sign displays the “10”. Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong here? I have a feeling that I’m missing something, but can’t figure out what.

I don't know just shooting dark but is your track going from switch point to switch point? If so try putting a short track in the middle of them, mabe that will stop the changing of SSI. Don't know if this will work but it what i whould try.

You might be right. I think the ladder rungs are single long pieces of track except for little curved stubs by the switch, so maybe the signs are on the piece of track. I'll try your suggestion when I get home. Thanks

I know what you're talking about. Klinger's Timber Ridge Line has some of those. The KUID2 is 60697:23000:1. It can be found under the DLS by searching for "invisible speed".
In case you're wondering, there is an invisible signal and speed sign for TRS2004 SP2 on the DLS. The KUID2 for the second version is 137715:23002:2.
May this help you.
